TST HistoryTexans Standing Tall was founded in 1997 as one of 12 coalitions nationwide that comprised "Reducing Underage Drinking: Youth and Adults United for Change," which was initially funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and administered by the Office of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse at the American Medical Association. Presently, Greenlights for Nonprofit Success serves as the fiscal sponsor for our coalition.
TST continues to serve a broad, diverse population. Although TST is physically in Austin, our reach is statewide. Our training and strategic consulting services benefit youth, parents, community volunteers, state agencies, and state and local policymakers from across the state.
Texans Standing Tall puts forward a bold plan to bring youth and adults together to address the environment that allows or even condones youth alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use.
